PAG Gas Compressor Lubricant (Series 141)
Product Overview
NEXT GPL PAG is a polyalkylene glycol (PAG) compressor lubricant for hydrocarbon gas compressors, refrigeration systems, and heat pumps using light to medium hydrocarbon working fluids: propane (R-290), propylene (R-1270), butane (R-600), and isobutane (R-600a). Light hydrocarbons dissolve less readily in PAG, preserving operating viscosity and film strength under compression. Controlled miscibility with these refrigerants returns lubricant from the low side of the circuit—a critical requirement for mechanical refrigeration.
In LPG storage, natural gas processing, and NGL recovery, NEXT GPL PAG serves propane and propylene refrigeration compressors and surrounding process gas machines. Nine ISO grades (VG 32 to VG 680) ensure lubrication throughout the full temperature swing between suction and discharge. Carbon and varnish control keeps compressor internals clean over extended service intervals, corrosion inhibition protects components in sour gas (H₂S) service, and low volatility limits lubricant carryover and downstream contamination.
