NEXT GPL PAG
PAG Gas Compressor Lubricant (Series 141)
Product Overview
NEXT GPL PAG is a polyalkylene glycol (PAG) compressor lubricant formulated for hydrocarbon gas compressors, refrigeration systems, and heat pumps operating on light to medium hydrocarbon working fluids: propane (R-290), propylene (R-1270), butane (R-600), and isobutane (R-600a). Its low dilution rate with hydrocarbon gases preserves operating viscosity and film strength under conditions that thin conventional lubricants excessively. Controlled miscibility with these refrigerants returns oil from the low side of the circuit — the requirement that determines lubricant selection in mechanical refrigeration.
In LPG storage, natural gas processing, and NGL recovery, NEXT GPL PAG serves propane and propylene refrigeration compressors as well as the process gas machines around them. A viscosity index up to 238 across the VG 32 to VG 680 range carries lubrication from cold suction to hot discharge. Carbon and varnish control keeps compressor internals clean over extended intervals, the formulation protects against corrosion in sour gas (H₂S) service, and very low volatility limits carryover and downstream contamination.
