Barrier PAG
PAG Barrier Fluid (Series 187)
Advanced Polyalkylene Glycol barrier fluid for mechanical seals in gas processing and compression applications, fully compatible with PAG and ester-based process lubricants; catalyst-safe, pure formulation with superior thermal stability up to 280°C.
Product Overview
Barrier PAG is a high-performance barrier fluid based on Polyalkylene Glycol (PAG) base oils, specifically formulated for dual mechanical seal systems in gas processing and compression applications. It is fully compatible with PAG and ester-based process lubricants, making it the right choice when the barrier fluid may come into contact with the compressor lubricant in service. The extremely pure, catalyst-safe formulation contains no impurities or additives that could harm a process stream — an important consideration in chemical processing and gas compression environments.
Barrier PAG delivers superior lubricity, excellent thermal and oxidative stability, and very low volatility, with maximum operating temperatures up to 280°C depending on grade. Its excellent thermal transfer properties support effective seal cooling across a range of process temperatures. Note: Barrier PAG is not compatible with mineral oil or PAO-based lubricants — compatibility should always be confirmed before use.
