Pure Polyethylene Glycol barrier fluid for mechanical seals, formulated for compatibility with PEG-based compressor lubricants in gas processing applications; catalyst-safe, additive-free formulation with excellent thermal stability and very low volatility.
Product Overview
Barrier PEG is a Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) based barrier fluid for dual mechanical seal systems in gas processing and compression applications where compatibility with PEG-based process lubricants is required. Like the Barrier PAG, it is formulated without additives or impurities, making it catalyst-safe if it enters a process stream — a key requirement in ammonia, CO₂, and chemical processing applications where seal fluid contamination must be managed carefully.
The PEG base delivers excellent thermal and oxidative stability, superior lubricity, and very low volatility across its operating range. Note: Barrier PEG is not compatible with mineral oil or PAO-based lubricants — compatibility should always be confirmed before introducing it into an existing system.
