Product Overview
Barrier XL is an extended-life synthetic barrier fluid designed for dual mechanical seal systems, including installations operating without protective nitrogen blanket coverage. Its highly filtered formulation achieves ISO cleanliness 14/13/11 and meets H2 Food Grade requirements, making it well-suited to food and beverage processing facilities where non-food contact lubricants must comply with food-grade standards.
Unlike standard barrier fluids, Barrier XL incorporates an active additive system that provides strong oxidative stability and corrosion protection — enabling significantly extended service intervals even in challenging operating conditions. The same PAO base oils that deliver excellent thermal stability also maintain superior low-temperature fluidity, giving Barrier XL a broad operating window without compromise at either end of the temperature range.
