Product Overview
NEXT 744-PAG is a PAG-based refrigeration lubricant specifically formulated for CO₂ (R-744) refrigeration systems, covering trans-critical, sub-critical, and cascade configurations. The advanced anti-wear and anti-corrosion additive package provides reliable protection under the extreme pressures inherent to CO₂ refrigeration service, where conventional lubricants often struggle to maintain adequate film strength and deposit control across the full operating cycle.
The formulation delivers excellent lubricity and carbon and varnish control alongside good cold temperature performance — important in CO₂ cascade systems where lubricant circulation extends to the low-temperature stage of the circuit. Very high viscosity indices ranging from 172 to 204 across the VG 46 to VG 150 grade range ensure consistent lubricating film across a wide operating temperature window.
